LAHORE – More rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday night and the next 2-3 days.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over western and upper parts of the country and will likely persist in upper parts during the next two to three days.
Under these weather conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Murree, Galyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bhakkar, Noor Pur Thal Layyah, Multan, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Khanpur, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are also likely during the period.
Landslides are also likely in Murree and Galyat from 27th to 29th April. Windstorms/hailstorms and lightning may affect human lives, standing crops, and loose structures like electric poles and solar panels.
Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 35-37 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, rain-thunderstorm occurred in Lahore and parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Kasur remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42 C.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 38 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 25 per cent.
