KARACHI – More rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Thursday evening/night and Friday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal penetrate most parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Mithi, Tharparker, Umarkot, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Badin, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sajawal and Padidan on Thursday evening/night.
On Friday, scattered rain-wind/thundershowers are expected in Mithi, Tharparker, Umarkot, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Badin, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sajawal and Padidan while at isolated places in Jamshoro, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki and Kashmore.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 40-42°C on Friday and 38-40°C on Saturday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 42-44°C on Friday and 40-42°C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms of varying intensities occurred in Karachi and parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.

Rains added to the woes of people by causing urban flooding and massive traffic jams. Wet conditions and strong winds causing tripping of more than 200 feeders in Karachi.
Jacobabad remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. Maximum temperature in Dadu and Mohenjo-Daro was recorded at 46°C, and Larkana and Nawabshah at 45°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 52 percent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 percent.
