ISLAMABAD – More rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night and Thursday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave lies over upper parts of Pakistan. It will likely persist during next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the high mountains are expected at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Pothohar region on Wednesday night.
On Thursday, rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the high mountains are expected at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Rain-wind/thunderstorms may also occur in south Punjab and southwestern Balochistan.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 28-30 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 29-31 on Friday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 28-30 C on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Pothohar region and Lasbella during the last 24 hours.

Dry weather prevailed elsewhere in the country. Nawabshah and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature reached 39 C.
