MUZAFFARGARH – Child abuse incidents continue to haunt Pakistani society and the recent shocking incident in Kot Addu during Ramadan sparks public outrage and calls for action.
A 28-year-old male who was observing Itikaf at mosque in Kot Addu city, Punjab, allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy.
The disturbing incident occurred on Tuesday when the suspect took the victim to a separate area and raped him. The victim was unable to call for help as the suspect covered his mouth, per the FIR.
The victim’s father registered a police complaint, launching an investigation into the matter.
The father was informed about the incident by the mosque’s Imam, who stated that the suspect raped boy in washroom.
