Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan and Sahibzada Ameer Sultan, two members of the National Assembly (MNAs) belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) from Jhang, have met with estranged PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen and discussed present political situation in the country on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the two MNAs said that Tareen had rendered invaluable services for the party, and their all support and sympathies were with him.

“Together we will face ‘a conspiracy from within the party’,” they vowed. Separately, PTI MNA Umar Tanvir Butt also called on Jahangir Tareen to express solidarity with him.

Earlier, as reports of ‘estranged’ Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen’s expected meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan are doing rounds on media, PTI leaders ‘loyal’ to Tareen have met with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar and conveyed to him their concerns.

According to sources, notable among those who met with the governor were Raja Riaz, provincial minister Ajmal Cheema and Khayal Ahmad Kastro.

Sources further disclosed that the Punjab governor assured the members of Tareen group that whatever their concerns were would be addressed, and that he would play his role to ensure that they had a meeting with PM Imran soon.

Chaudhry Sarwar, on the occasion, said that each and every member of the party had trust in the prime minister’s leadership.

“The present government has taken concrete steps for the development and stability of the country.

And that resolution of the issues confronting the common man was the government’s top priority,” the governor claimed.

He hoped that God willing, PTI government would complete its five-year term, and that general elections would be held in 2023.

“There is no danger to the government,” Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said.

He said Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme and Ihsas Programme were the manifestation of government’s people friendly approach.

The governor further said that Punjab Aab Pak Authority would fulfil its promise of the provision of clean drinking water to the people.

Furthermore, he said, development schemes in Faisalabad division would be completed at the earliest.
