Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nadeem met and discussed strategies for controlling the spread of the dengue virus former Provincial Health Minister Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir at his residence. The meeting included Senator Nasir Butt, chief drug Inspector Azhar Salimi and Parliamentary Secretary Shazia Rizwan and Asma Abbasi.

On this occasion, during the discussion meeting regarding the necessary measures to control the epidemic situation of dengue in Rawalpindi, the strategy was reviewed in the light of previous experiences to control dengue in Rawalpindi through mutual consultation and Uzir Primary.

Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir said that the government is doing its best to eliminate dengue from Rawalpindi as soon as possible by using all the resources and the government has also allocated a special budget for it. Minister said that they would use all their efforts and with the participation of dengue doctors and paramedical staff of the health department, a full public awareness campaign will be conducted in Rawalpindi, as well as the factors that cause dengue will be closely monitored, Dr. Jamal said.
