PESHAWAR – Multiple matriculation annual papers have been cancelled in Chitral by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government due to heavy rains.
The decision to cancel the matric annual exam was taken in a meeting led by Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai in the provincial capital Peshawar today, with rescheduling planned for a later date.
The provincial authorities announced that examinations in other cities will continue as per the original schedule. Education minister instructed all boards to promptly assign examination staff duties and ensure full preparedness for security measures and other arrangements.
Strict action was warned against those involved in leaking board papers.
In KP, recent heavy rains have resulted in tragic incidents, with PDMA reporting at least 21 fatalities across the province.
The heavy downpour in KP, caused 330 incidents of roof and wall collapses, leading to the destruction of 53 houses and damage to 277 structures. Additionally, 32 individuals sustained injuries in various incidents.
