Adviser to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill on Wednesday said that Maryam Safdar is leveling baseless allegations against Judiciary through a fake audio.
Talking to media persons at Prime Minister House, he said that Maryam is certified liar who had submitted fake documents in the court. He said that Calibri Queen Maryam Nawaz always tells lies.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is engaged in a propaganda campaign against the judiciary in an attempt to make its role controversial, he added.
There was no doubt that the former Gilgit-Baltistan chief judge had taken several benefits from Sharif family in the past, he added. He said that Maryam Safdar do not have ethics to talk about the Judges.
He said that Maryam talked about the banning of advertisements of some channels, adding, today she again asked the question from the reporter of her favourite channel.
Meanwhile, minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib stated that admission of Maryam Safdar about blocking advertisement of leading television channels during her party’s tenure had exposed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) hypocrisy on media freedom.
Farrukh lashed out at Maryam Safdar for blocking tv channels’ ads and depriving journalists of their livelihood while sitting in the Prime Minister’s House during the last tenure of PML-N. “Let’s see how the journalists and media owners’ organizations will react on this issue), he added.
