The funeral prayers of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) Constable Zubair, who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty, were offered with state honors at the Police Lines Headquarters on Sunday.
The Inspector General (IG) Police, officials from law enforcement agencies, the district administration, and police officers attended the funeral to pay their respects.
He said the burial of the martyred officer will take place at the H-11 graveyard.
The IG Rizvi expressed condolences to the bereaved family and assured them that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
“This sacrifice will not be forgotten. We will ensure the culprits face the full force of the law,” IG stated.
Meanwhile,Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday paid homage to Traffic Police personnel Zubair Shah, who was martyred in a firing incident by unidentified assailants in Sector I-9, in the federal capital.
In a statement, the minister expressed his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family, saying, “We stand with the grieving family in this hour of sorrow.”
He also urged for the immediate arrest of the culprits, directing authorities to bring them to justice swiftly and ensure that Zubair Shah’s family receives justice.
Furthermore, Mohsin Naqvi assured that the government would take full care of the martyrs’ family.
