An additional district and sessions court sentenced a man to life in prison for sexually abusing a girl child.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Yasin also fined the convict Manshad Rs50,000 for raping a 7-year-old girl child at her home.
The Shahdara Town Police had registered a case against Manshad The court recorded statements of as many 13 witnesses during the course of trial of the case.
According to the prosecution, Manshad raped the child when she was left at home by her parents who went out to attend a wedding ceremony.
Manshad barged into the house and raped the child, the prosecution said.
Meanwhile, two brothers in Lahore brutally tortured their sister for demanding a share in property/inheritance. The 37-year-old victim, Nayyab reached the police station to lodge a complaint.
In her statement given to the police, she said that brothers often resorted to violence against their mother as well. The City police have nabbed accused brothers Imran and Mohsin.
