An accused Chan Zeb (38 Yrs.) booked in narcotics case died in police custody at Police station Mirpur here on Wednesday night. The victim’s family has alleged that he was died due to police torture.
According to Police officials, the accused, Chan Zeb S/O Ghulam Nabi, was arrested by SHO Police station Mirpur Arif Khan on Wednesday night around 11.45 PM and recovered ICE (9 Grams) and registered case against him. He was found dead in police custody at Police station Mirpur.
His dead body was shifted to Ayub Teaching Hospital for autopsy after initiating judicial inquiry over the issue. Although exact reason of his death will be determined after the autopsy report however sources in Health & Police told that his death was occurred due to heart attack.
