Unidentified culprits kidnapped the elder brother of a renowned trader for ransom here on Sunday, the police said.
According to police, the culprits abducted Haji Yaseen, elder brother of renowned trader Mumtaz Rice Mills wala, from his agricultural farm located in Dera Syedpura area of Kasur.
The kidnappers later made a phone call to the family from personal number of the abductee and demanded Rs1 million as ransom for his release.
The police have registered a case against unidentified kidnappers and launched investigation in the incident.
