Malaysia’s economy decreased at a slower pace of 2.7 percent in the third quarter from the double-digit decline of 17.1 percent in the second quarter of 2020, said its central bank on Friday. Bank Negara Malaysia, the central bank, said in a statement that the improvement largely reflected the reopening of economy from the Covid-19 containment measures and better external demand conditions. The improvements in growth were seen across most economic sectors, particularly in the manufacturing sector, which turned positive following strong electrical and electronic (E&E) production activity, said the central bank.—Xinhua
