LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has distributed electric bikes among deserving students as government rolled out easy installment plans to empower students.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony, CM Maryam Nawaz hailed students who received electric bikes, aiming to swiftly alleviate their challenges. She also mentioned that around 190,000 students had registered for e-bikes, and 27,000 would soon be distributed across Punjab.

Chief Minister gave credit to Nawaz Sharif for guidance and also praised all involved parties for project completion and outlined plans to expand e-bike distribution in subsequent phases across all districts of Punjab.

She also highlighted initiatives like laptop schemes, a Rs25 billion scholarship fund, and forthcoming youth programs, including battery insurance for e-bikes, all distributed based on merit.

Nawaz expressed ambitions for Punjab to lead in development and education, aiming for similar progress in other provinces, and announced plans for electric buses in Lahore by December through an MoU with expectations for Punjab Education to pioneer student facilities.
