LHC for ending illegal parking in city

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed to immediately eradicate illegal parking in the provincial city.
Justice Shahid Karim heard the petitions of a citizen Haroon Farooq and others on Friday.

The court in its remarks expressing serious concerns over the violation of traffic rules said that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) should chalk out rules and parking on service line of main venues should be eliminated.

The LHC further stated that illegal parking result in traffic jams causing pollution. Old trees should be protected and made safe of falling, it added.
The court directed to seal the restaurants which have no parking.

Member Water Commission said that the government officials were not serious regarding food security issues.
