LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Friday demolished several buildings and sealed another two during operations against violation of bylaws and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
The LDA teams demolished several illegal buildings during an operation in LDA Avenue-I and Jubilee Town. The LDA team also sealed two buildings in these areas for illegal commercial use.
As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before demolition operation.
Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali and Director LDA Avenue-I Assad Ullah Cheema supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of enforcement teams, Police and heavy machinery. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
