LAHORE – Lahore Development Authority (LDA) demolished/sealed several buildings in Lahore during an operation against violation of bylaws and illegal commercial use on Friday.
LDA teams demolished over half a dozen illegal buildings during an operation in Johar Town and Wapda Town.
LDA team also partially demolished/sealed several buildings including a private bank and shops for illegal commercial use. As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before demolition operation.
Chief Town Planner-II Athar Ali carried out the operation with the help of enforcement teams, Police and heavy machinery. LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
