LDA demolishes several buildings in Lahore for violation of bylaws

LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operation against violation of bylaws and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
On Friday, LDA teams demolished over half a dozen illegal buildings during an operation in Samanabad, Timber Market and Chauburji.
LDA team demolished three illegally constructed halls in Samanabad and Timber Market. LDA team also demolished several illegal shops in Timber Market and in the surroundings of Chauburji Park. As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before demolition operation.
Director Town Planning-I Ayesha Mutahir carried out the operation with the help of enforcement teams, Police and heavy machinery. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
