A special event was organized at Lahore College for Women University to celebrate the 76th Independence Day of Pakistan. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shagufta Naz raised the national flag during the ceremony.
The event was attended by Deans, Directors, Registrar, Principal, Faculty, Staff, and students. Speaking on this occasion, Professor Dr. Shagufta Naz, the Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University, emphasized the significance of this day as a renewal of our commitment to fulfilling the vision of our forefathers, who envisioned Pakistan as an Islamic welfare state. He stressed the need for teachers to fulfil their responsibilities in shaping the future of the nation.
He further questioned whether we have reciprocated Pakistan’s generosity by contributing to its development. Dr. Shaghfat Naz expressed gratitude for the blessing of freedom bestowed upon us and urged everyone to reflect on whether we have met the goals and objectives for which Pakistan was established.
During the ceremony, students captivated the audience with their patriotic songs. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shafuta Naz, along with the faculty members, participated in cutting the 76th Independence Day cake. Additionally, awards were presented to alumni of Lahore College for Women University in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
The ceremony concluded with special prayers for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
