The CEO Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC), Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, has increased the quota of discounted water tankers for citizens in an initiative to provide better services.
According to In-charge Hydrants Cell, Elahi Bux Bhutto, a 24/7 window service has been launched at all government hydrants, enabling citizens to book water tankers easily. Due to repair work on University Road, the Water Corporation has temporarily suspended the commercial tanker service for three days. During this period, residential flats and citizens will be supplied water tankers under the general public service (GPS). Citizens are advised to ensure they receive a computerized e-slip when obtaining water tankers.
Complaints should be lodged immediately against those who fail to provide the e-slip. Additionally, the corporation has provided contact numbers for all government hydrants for booking tankers: Crush Plant Hydrant, Safoora Hydrant, Sakhi Hassan Hydrant, Landhi Future Hydrant, Sherpao Hydrant, NIPA Hydrant.
