PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Saturday announced formation of a commission for transparent investigations into the Bannu incident.
Barrister Saif, the Advisor on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur took notice of the ongoing situation in Bannu and also announced the formation of a commission for transparent investigations into the incident.
He stated that the commission would conduct transparent and impartial investigations and present a report. The report would identify the responsible parties, it would be made public, and legal action would be taken against those responsible.
Barrister Saif mentioned that security is usually on high alert at sensitive locations. The soldiers and civilians were martyred in the suicide attack, and the sensitive nature of the location was also a reason for yesterday’s unfortunate incident.
In light of the current wave of terrorism, the public is requested to exercise extreme caution.
In his statement, the Advisor on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa further said that anti-Pakistan and anti-public elements are looking for opportunities to worsen the situation, and they should not be given a chance to disrupt peace.
