RAWALPINDI – May 9 events, the darkest events in the country’s history, continue to haunt PTI leaders, and now the Anti-Terrorism Court issued arrest warrants for KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Malik Ejaz Asif issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the newly-elected chief minister and ordered law enforcers to present him before court on April 2.

The arrest warrants against the PTI leader were issued in a case registered at City Police Station.

In a similar development, Peshawar High Court ordered the federal government to share information about cases against Ali Amin Gandapur. A division bench comprising Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Shakeel Ahmed heard a petition from KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur requesting details of cases against him.

The court lamented that the issue had not been resolved yet, with Gandapur’s counsel stating that they still did not know about cases registered in Punjab.

The judge told Gandapur to seek bail if he was involved in any case in Punjab. Gandapur’s lawyer stated that despite their requests, no details had been provided in writing.

Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim emphasized that Gandapur is the chief minister of the province, elected by the people, and that they should provide him with the details of the cases against him. The bench ordered the government to provide the details to the petitioner.
