The new Caretaker cabinet of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was further expanded on Tuesday with the induction of two more Ministers in Azam Khan led caretaker KP setup. Some twenty eight members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) caretaker cabinet, it may be recalled, had tendered their resignations some three weeks back in order to pave way for nonpartisan and apolitical caretaker setup in line with the directives of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The ECP had objected to the activities of the few ministers showing their political affiliations asking the caretaker chief minister to remove those cabinet members including the advisers and special assistants who have affiliation with political parties.
Following that a nine-member new caretaker cabinet of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was sworn in on August nine that include, include Syed Masood Shah, Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel, Justice (retd) IrshadQaisar, Ahmad RasoolBangash, AsifRafiq, Dr. NajeebUllah, Dr. Muhammad Qasim, Justice (retd) Arshad Hussein Shah and Syed Aamir Abdullah.
However, the cabinet was further expended Tuesday with the inclusion of two ministers who are engineer Amir NadeemDurrani and Engineer Ahmad Jan. They were administered oath of their office at ceremony held in the Governor House Peshawar. Care taker Chief Minister Mohammad Azam Khan, IG Police KP and senior military and civil officers besides some political figures attended the ceremony.
