Pakistani dramatist and playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar is all over the internet as his explicit video with a girl was leaked online, sparking new debate about leaks culture.
A day after the video controversy, Mere Paas Tum Ho writer said his explicit videos were made at gunpoint. Sharing his ordeal in a podcast interview, the famous writer said he was forced into making these shameful videos by his kidnappers.
He mentioned opposing this during captivity, but the gang members persisted in forcing him to engage in such activities and also filmed him.
Khalilur Rehman Qamar Leaked Video
The clips, which appeared online, show Khalil in a compromising situation with a woman said to be Amna Arooj who trapped playwright along with gang members.
Khalil fell victim to a honey-trap orchestrated by a criminal gang, who later released him after a ransom was paid. The main suspect, before being held, warned of leaking private videos of Qamar, showing him in intimate situations with a woman.
Mastermind behind bars
In major development, mastermind behind the abduction of writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar was arrested. Hasan Shah, the alleged mastermind, and his accomplice Rafique were arrested in Peshawar.
Shah confessed to orchestrating scheme and coercing Qamar into recording an objectionable video. So far, at least a dozen suspects, including women, have been arrested. Shah and Rafique have serious criminal records, including kidnapping and murder. Amna Urooj, one of the suspects, has been presented in court, and the investigation continues.
