Barrister Raja AzarIqbal, an AJK national hailing from Mirpur has been appointed as Judge by the Lord Chancellor of the United Kingdom. He has assumed his office Thursday.

Barrister Raja AzarIqbal belongs to village Boa KalanMirpur, AJK. He is the first Kashmiri from the region to have been appointed as Judge in the UK Judiciary by the Lord Chancellor. Being Judge he will exercise his functional jurisdiction over entire England.
