The nonstop action of the Pakistan Super League season 8 is set to continue tonight with Karachi Kings taking on Islamabad United.

Kings will look to bounce back from their opening loss to Peshawar Zalmi in what will be their second game of the 2023 season while United will finally play their first match of the competition.

Pakistan Observer brings you all you need to know ahead of the big game.

Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United head-to-head record:

The Kings and United rivalry has been pretty versant since the first PSL season.

United lead their head-to-head 12 games to 6 including a streak of four consecutive wins. Karachi last managed to get the better of the two-time champions way back in March 2020.

When and where will the game take place?

The match will be played in Karachi’s home ground, the National Bank Cricket Arena. The scheduled time is 7:00 PM but time management issues can cause delays as they did in the first game.

Players to watch:

Shadab Khan will be making his return to competitive cricket after missing the New Zealand series due to a finger injury in a major boost for United. Azam Khan, who has been tearing a path in T20 leagues around the world, is another name to look out for if he makes the playing XI.

As for the Kings, Imad Wasim will be key for Karachi in both departments while James Vince, if he makes the playing XI, could be a key factor in the middle overs.

Mohammad Amir will also have to shoulder the bowling burden, especially with Mir Hamza done for the season with a fractured finger.

Where to watch Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United?
