KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts cold and dry weather with gusty winds for Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Sunday evening/night, Monday and Tuesday.
As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave prevails over the upper parts of Pakistan.
Under the influence of these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the port city, Hyderabad and most parts of the province on Sunday evening/night, Monday and Tuesday. Gusty winds are likely during the period which may damage loose structures like solar panels.
Karachi’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 12-14 degrees Celsius on Monday and 11-13 C on Tuesday.
Hyderabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 09-11 C on Monday and 08-10 C on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, cold dry weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Mohenjo-Daro remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped to 01 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 69 per cent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 13 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 28 per cent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 10 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 44 per cent.
