Caretaker Minister, Local Government, Housing & Town Planning Muhammad Mubeen Jumani on Saturday assured that the public issues will be resolved under his command and the crackdown will be carried out against illegal hydrants.
While discussing the ongoing development projects with Faisal Zahid Malik, Editor-in-Chief, Pakistan Observer, who called on him at his office, the caretaker LG minister reaffirmed that he will do the justice with defined duties.
The minister said that he had advised the officials of the water utility that they should discharge their duties to serve public without being blackmailed by anyone or coming under any political pressure.
Confirming the advice by the caretaker Chief Minis-ter Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar, local government minister Mubeen Jumani said, “We will strengthen local councils so that they could carry out develop-ment work with honesty and integrity.”
Faisal praised the improvement work undertaken by caretaker provincial government to enhance public facilities was commendable, adding that there was a need to inform the public through the media about the progress made in various sectors. He also appreciated the fast track development projects progress of the interim provincial government and said that the efforts to create a ray of hope among under privileged class are noteworthy. They also discussed a number of issues pertaining to public welfare.
