The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F is likely to hold an All-Party Conference on law-and-order situation with particular reference to growing cases of terrorism in the country, in Peshawar on Jan 1.
“Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F has decided to hold All Parties Conference in Peshawar to take the country out of the prevailing economic and political crises,” sources said adding all political and religious parties would be invited to the conference to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in the province.
The multi-parties conference will be held at Mufti Mehmood Centre in Peshawar and Maulana Fazl ur Rehman will chair the conference. Heads of many political parties are expected to participate in the moot.
According to JUI-F leadership, the step is being taken in the wake of recent terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of the country.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami had postponed the multi-party conference on political and economic stability in the country. The conference that was scheduled to be held in Islamabad on Dec 28, according to Jamaat sources, was postponed due to the busy schedule of political leadership, said sources within JI.
