QUETTA – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah survived gun attack with while travelling in the Chaman district of Balochistan, police and the provincial leadership of the JUI-F party said, a day before elections.
It was the third attack in Balochsitan, as the region is bleeding ahead of elections. Attackers targeted Hamdullah’s vehicle while he was traveling to from Peshawar to Chaman.
Earlier in the day, two bombs rocked the region and at least 22 people were killed with several injured. Twin blasts came a day before elections. The attacks targeted the election offices of political parties in the restive region.
At least 10 people were killed in the attack in Qila Saifullah, while other died in Pishin.
Terror attacks have risen in recent months as the country heads to the polls.
