Journalists hold protest against Govt’s anti-media polices

Journalists across the country staged protests outside press clubs on the call of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) against the government’s ‘anti-media’ policies. Like other parts of the country Hyderabad Union of Journalists also held protest demonstration against the anti-media policies of the federal government, amendment in PEMRA act and registration of cases against journalists, here on Thursday.

The protest led by President of HUJ Thatta unit, which was taken out from the traffic checkpoint to Thatta Press Club. While addressing the rally Khuda Bux Brohi, Ahmed Khan Khushik, Shabbir Bhatti, Ejaz Wario, Ismail Memon, Akbar Dilvani, and others condemned the government anti media polices and stated that the ban on the media is a measure to suppress the voice of the people.
