JICA representative visits WASSCA

JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) Chief in Pakistan Shigeki Furuta has said that JICA, a Japanese organization has extended co-operation in different areas other than clean drinking water which includes Live Stock, basic health centers and others and will further increase area of co-operation.

This he said during his visit to WASSCA (Water and Sanitation Services Abbottabad) office on Thursday and had also attended a briefing session arranged by the WASSCA Abbottabad.

Akram Zaki Chief Executive of the WASSCA told that currently two projects funded by the JICA are underway at Abbottabad which includes, clean drinking Water Supply Scheme, known as Gravity Water Scheme and Water Treatment Plant and peoples of Abbottabad are thankful for the 3.6 billion Japan Funded Scheme executed by JICA which is being used by millions of peoples of Abbottabad.

JICA Chief assured further extension of the co-operation of public welfare in Abbottabad and other parts of the country which will strengthen the brotherly relations between two countries.
