RIYADH – A blend of historic landmark, entertainment venues and natural wonders makes Japan a popular tourism destination in the world.
The island national received over 2.4 million international visitors in 2023, according to the Japan tourism website.
To facilitate the tourists by providing a hassle-free visa issuance procedure, Japan has launched the e-Visa services for specific countries, including Saudi Arabia.
All nationals, including Pakistanis, who reside in Saudi Arabia are able to apply for a tourist visa online (Single entry visa for a stay up to 90 days).
Applicants can submit the visa application through the JAPAN eVISA website where they will fill in the application form and upload the supporting documents to receive the electronic visa.
Applicants are required to log-in to the JAPAN eVISA website and display “Visa Issuance Notice” at the departure airport under the Internet environment. PDF data, screenshot or printout of the page will not be accepted.
Japan e-Visa Fee for Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia
Single-entry visa for tourism cost 80 Saudi Riyal if the payment is made in cash at embassy, according to the Japan embassy in the Saudi Arabia. However, the website of Japanese foreign ministry shows that the online fees are about 3,000 yen for a single-entry visa, and 6,000 yen for a double-entry or multiple-entry visa.
