ISLAMABAD – Rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Friday night and Saturday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea penetrates upper parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave will likely affect upper parts of the country tonight.
Under these weather conditions, rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely Islamabad, Rawalpindi, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, northeast/upper Punjab and Kashmir on Friday night and Saturday. Rains may also occur at isolated places in lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Saturday and 33-35°C on Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 30-32°C on Saturday and 32-34°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rains occurred at isolated places.

Sibbi remained the hottest place in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. The maximum temperature in Dadu and Turbat was recorded at 40°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 49 per cent.
