Pakistan’s two neighboring regions Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa and Balochistan saw a sharp rise in deadly attacks, with scores of people dying as TTP and other militants continue to use Afghan soil to conduct attacks.

Propaganda against Pakistani Forces

As Pakistani’s civil-military leaders agreed to start a new multi-faceted nationwide counterterrorism campaign, several Afghanistan-based publications continue to push the anti-Pakistan narrative in misleading articles.

Quoting Baloch separatist groups, these reports claimed that Pakistani authorities are working to create high-security prison centers in Balochistan that would function similarly to notorious Guantanamo Bay prison complex.

It mentioned that such prison facilities used to work in Afghanistan by the previous regime. With such anti-state rhetoric, Afghan-based media continues to spread concerns about the possibility of increased human rights violations and disappearances in Pakistan.

It also baseless allegations about forces operating without a legal framework in terror-hit Balochistan.

Pakistani armed forces or the Government of Balochistan have not shared any details about such prison facilities.
