The so-called Republic Day of India was observed as Black Day as a mark of protest throughout Azad Jammu and Kashmir, today.
Amassive protest demonstration was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad, which was led by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, PPP leader Shaukat Javed Mir, Hurriyat leaders Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Usman Ali Hashim, Shoaib Ahmad Shah, Muhajiran leaders Iqbal Yasin Awan, Muhammad Farooq Sheikh, Raja Sajeed Khan, Ishaq Shaheen, Chaudhry Shahbaz Ahmed, Muhammad Fayaz Khan, Imtiaz Aziz and others.
The protesters on the occasion were chanting slogans like “Indian democracy HaiHai” and “fake democracy HaiHai“. The participants were carrying black flags, banners and placards with slogans against India written on them.
The participants of the protest also protested Indian atrocities in Kashmir, the martyrdom of the Babri Masjid, the forced construction of the Ram Temple and the attacks of Hindu extremist organizations on Indian Muslims. They were shouting slogans in favor of the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the Black Day rally, Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali and other speakers said India is committing the worst terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the guise of fake democracy. They said political, religious, social and human rights of Kashmiri Muslims are being severely violated under the guise of fake democracy.
The speakers said India is a blot in the name of democracy which has illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. With the implementation of the worst black laws, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA), the lives of the Kashmiri people have been made miserable, they lamented. —INP
