Indian paramilitary constable committed suicide in Maharashtra state in India. According to Kashmir Media Service, the con-stable of State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Group 4, identified as 35-year-old Mangesh Maske, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Unconventional Operations Training Centre (UOTC) in Nagpur city of the state, said the Wadi police station official.
“He was on deputation to the UOTC, which is an anti-Naxal training facility of Maharashtra po-lice. Sitting in his chair, he pointed the rifle to his chin and fired. He died on the spot,” the official noted.
The deceased constable, Mangesh, is survived by his wife, who serves with Nagpur police, and two children.
In October last year, a constable of the Provin-cial Armed Constabulary (PAC) allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle in Farrukhabad.—KMS
