ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday contested the jail trial notifications related to the Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust cases in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.

Imran Khan challenged the notifications for jail trials in the Toshkhana and Al-Qadir Trust cases. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman and others have been included as parties in the case.

In his petition, the PTI founder argued that on November 14, a notification for the jail trial of the Al-Qadir Trust case was issued, while in the Toshakhana case, the jail trial notification was issued on November 28.

The former prime minister contended that the jail trial notifications were unlawful and driven by malicious intent. He asked the court to declare the notifications null and void, urging the court to stay the trial until his appeals are addressed.
