Asks judiciary, ‘Neutrals’ to act sanely in country’s interest; Says movement to continue till announcement of polls date

As the federal cabinet Tuesday decided not to allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) planned long march towards Islamabad, former Prime Minister and PTI Supremo has expressed his firm determination to lead the Azadi March towards Islamabad on May 25 (Today) crossing all the hurdles.

Describing the cabinet’s decision of not allowing long march in Islamabad as “illegal”, Imran also asked the judiciary to intervene in the government’s crackdown against his party workers across the major cities in the country.

“The nation is looking towards the “neutrals” to intervene. “You will also be responsible if the country moves towards destruction; “I have a message for the neutrals, judges, bureaucrats and lawyers, it is a decisive time.

This is the high time they have to decide if the stand for the real independence of the country or with American slaves It’s a test for them. There is no room of staying neutral in the prevailing situation: they are aware of the history of Sharif and Zardari”.

Former Prime Minister said during a PTI youth convention and talking to Media in Peshawar Tuesday. Strongly condemning the raids on houses of the party leaders in Punjab, Islamabad and Karachi, saying a peaceful protest was the right of all citizens, Imran said adding all of their protests in the past 26 years have been peaceful and never hurt any civilian or our police.

He lashed out at the incumbent coalition government for closing roads, and ongoing crackdown on PTI leaders and workers, saying he will be leaving for Islamabad tomorrow amid arrest and section 144.

“I will lead the “biggest procession in Pakistan’s history” tomorrow (Wednesday)”. Khan said. This is a test for our police and law enforcement agencies, they need to show if they stand with the corrupt leaders and touts of America or with independence.

He said all major parties including the PMNL-N, JUI-F and the PPP protested against us at different times in their tenure but they never did anything to stop them.

“On the contrary this government is raiding PTI leaders’ homes and violating the law by arresting them without any warrants”. He maintained.

“Would judiciary allow the arrests being made?” Imran asked saying permission for such actions would dent the credibility of the judiciary.

PTI chairman said the police abused the power and raided houses without warrants and harassed the women. He asked the Bureaucracy and the Police to act sanely.

“This is also a test for our police and law enforcement agencies, they need to show if they stand with the corrupt leaders and touts of America or with independence”. He requested young people, women and children to participate in their long march and prepare to protest until they do not get the date for the next general election.

Lambasting the PML-N-led coalition government, Khan said that he has been seeing the Sharif family adopting the same tactics that the dictators do since 1985.

“They only remember democracy as soon as they leave power,” PTI chief said asking how many times these parties have taken to the streets throughout the PTI government’s term.

Khan lamented that the police entered the house of a retired army major while referring to a video that surfaced on social media, in which a girl could be in seen tears and claiming that the cops had “harassed” her.

“They entered the houses of people and didn’t care for the privacy of women, “Do we want to make the country Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan or the Pakistan of these thieves and robbers?” Imran Khan asked and alleged that 60% of the federal cabinet comprised criminals who are roaming freely after attaining bails, while they still have cases of corruption worth Rs24 billion against them.

He said we are marching to Islamabad because it was proved in the National Security Council (NSC) meeting that a foreign conspiracy was hatched and the [PTI] government was toppled adding that those who have been criminals for the last 30 years were brought into power.

“Isn’t it ironical that the crime minister and his son who had to be sentenced are now making decisions for the country”. Imran said.

Referring to the economic condition of Pakistan, Khan said that the PTI had clearly warned that the situation was getting worse but the incumbent government ruined the economy in just 1.5 months. “There is only one solution to all the problems confronting the country and that is immediate elections”.

Taking to Twitter, the PTI chief said: “Peaceful protest was the right of all our citizens. The brutal crackdown on PTI leaders and workers in Punjab & Islamabad has once again shown us what we are familiar with – the fascist nature of PMLN when in power. “Already economy is in a tailspin.

I want to warn the crooks & their handlers that these undemocratic and fascist steps will further exacerbate the economic situation & push the country into a state of anarchy”. Former premier tweeted.

Khan said the nation was quite vigilant and more aware today and would never accept the “imported government” warning that anybody tried to stop the sea of the masses, would be swept away.022–As the federal cabinet Tuesday decided not to allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) planned long march towards Islamabad, former Prime Minister and PTI Supremo has expressed his firm determination to lead the Azadi March towards Islamabad on May 25 (Today) crossing all the hurdles.
