RAWALPINDI – Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s interim bail in the Toshakhana fake receipts case has been extended.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Mujoka heard six pre-arrest bail petitions filed by Imran Khan and one by Bushra Bibi.
Bushra Bibi’s request for exemption from appearance was accepted during the hearing while Imran Khan failed to appear before the court via video link despite judicial orders.
The court, upon the investigation officer’s request, extended the interim bail of both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until December 7 and adjourned the hearing.
Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are accused in the Toshakhana fake receipts case.
Imran Khan is also nominated in five other cases including those involving protests, vandalism and other charges.
Both have sought pre-arrest bail from the court.
