A one-day seminar has been organized in collaboration with National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and Dosti on the occasion of International Volunteer Day at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.
In the seminar, apart from highlighting the importance and recognition of the services of the volunteers, their selfless services were also lauded. Deputy Director NCHD Lal Muhammad Toru , Chairman Khyber Society of America Taj Akbar, Abdul Wali Khan University Provost Dr. SohailAlam, Assistant Provost Syed Kazim Shah, President of Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry MardanAqeelaSumbal, Asst. Director NCHD Muhammad Ayaz, Abid Ali, Jamal Asghar and others spoke.
A large number of students participated in the seminar. Speaking on this occasion, the speakers said that it is very important to promote the spirit of service to humanity in recent times. People who do voluntary services come as a mercy from Allah Ta’ala who serve humanity all their lives without any greed. The speakers said that for the first time, the United Nations announced to celebrate this day in 1985. The purpose of celebrating this day every year is to pay tribute to the helpers for contributing to the cause by playing a positive role in the society.
Day or night, calamities or tragedies, the services of rescue volunteers dedicated to patriotism and humanitarianism are underappreciated. Volunteers are a valuable asset of any society who play their role in the development and development of the society without compensation and without any greed. We have many voluntary organizations functioning systematically. The main objective of people associated with voluntary organizations is to render their services as useful citizens.
