ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Supremo and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he would prefer death in the jail rather than striking a deal and surrendering before anyone.

“I will die but will not surrender. Tell the nation that the captain is determined,” said Imran Khan while holding an informal talk with the journalists inside Adiala Jail.

The former prime minister said that May 9 was a London plan to remove him and his government and to bring back Nawaz Sharif.

Imran Khan said that the London plan was made to crush the PTI.

“The way I was arrested was also a plan,” said the PTI supremo, adding that there was no problem to him in the jail.

He also ruled out the deal or dialogue with him in the jail.

“Nobody held talks with me,” said Imran Khan.  Referring to the rival political parties in the country, Imran Khan said that he had apprehension that they could run away from the elections.

“I want to make you clear that it is the PTI which will win the elections,” said Imran Khan.

He made these remarks during his informal talk with the journalists inside the jail during the hearing of Cipher case. Only Six journalists  were allowed entry inside Adiala jail for hearing of the Cipher case. Shah Mahmooq Qureshi, the former Foreign Minister, was also present there.

Earlier, the court handed over copies of Challan to Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case. Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain heard the case. The court, established under the Official Secret Act, distributed the copies of challan as it would indict both Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the case.  The court adjourned the hearing till Dec 2.
