The Islamabad High Court on Thursday ordered the inspector general of police, Islamabad and the head of the joint investigation team to appear in the court in person in journalist Arshad Sharif’s ‘murder’ case on July 25.
During the hearing of the petition, seeking the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the killing of the journalist, IHC Chief Justice Justice Aamer Farooq also summoned the attorney general for Pakistan on July 25 for assistance.
The Additional Attorney General for Pakistan Munawar Iqbal Duggal, on the occasion, told the court that the JIT had completed its probe in the case within the territorial limits of Pakistan.
