Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid a surprise visit to 1787 Complaint Centre at Central Police Office here on Saturday and checked the grievance redress process.
He listened to complainants and issued orders on the spot. On an application, received from Hafizabad, the DPO was ordered to take immediate action under personal supervision. The IG Punjab asked all supervisory officers to take immediate action on the complaints sent through 1787 and provide all possible relief to citizens. He said that the complaints received through call, SMS, e-mail and other sources should be resolved promptly as per the prescribed timeline and standard operating procedures (SOPs). AIG Complaints Ahmed Mohiuddin briefed the IGP about 1787 dashboard and complaints received from different regions.
Moreover, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar gave away cash awards and certificates of appreciation to 40 instructors at a ceremony, held at the Central Police Office, here on Saturday.
The instructors and police officers from Police Training College Chung Lahore, Training College Sihala Rawalpindi, Police Training School Farooqabad and Multan participated in the event.
Addressing the instructors, the IGP said the training curriculum of the police force had been upgraded according to modern requirements, similarly the training steps and performance evaluation mechanisms of the force had also been digitalised. Additional IG Training Tariq Rustam Chohan, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, AIG Training Faisal Mukhtar and AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah participated in the event.
Likewise, Ashbah Khan, the daughter of the brave Inspector Imran Brohi of Punjab Police, met with IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, at the Central Police Office here.
Inspector Imran Brohi had sacrificed his life to protect the lives and property of the citizens. Ashbah informed IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, about her educational aspirations, and during the conversation, Ashbah Khan conveyed a positive message about progressing in education and life. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, stated that Inspector Imran Brohis daughter, Ashbah Khan, will now complete her education at a private university in Lahore, and a plot will be provided to the family of Shaheed Inspector Imran Brohi in Lahore.
