Inspector General of Police, GhulamNabiMemon, hosted a delegation of six members from All Pakistan Security Agencies (APSA) at the Central Police Office on Wednesday. The delegation, led by President Major (Retd) Munir, engaged in discussions regarding the prevailing security challenges and private security agency operations. During the meeting, IG Sindh underscored the imperative of bolstering security measures to ensure peace and stability. He urged private security companies to regularly update law enforcement agencies on matters concerning foreign nationals’ security details.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of adhering to a standardized security protocol, encompassing security clearance, training, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) before hiring private security guards.
IG Sindh highlighted the reciprocal benefits of Sindhi police involvement in guard training, promising comprehensive support and cooperation in their training endeavors. Additionally, IG Sindh proposed sharing information regarding Chinese nationals associated with the CPEC project to fortify overall police operations and ensure robust security measures. He urged the delegation to advocate for the closure of unauthorized security companies and emphasized individual and collective responsibility in this regard. The meeting was attended by DIG Headquarters Sindh, IT Project Director, AIG Operations Sindh, and AIG Establishment.
