Holiday declared in Hyderabad schools, colleges tomorrow amid heavy rains forecast

ISLAMABAD – Friday holiday has been declared for schools, colleges and all educational institutions in Hyderabad in the wake of heavy rainfall forecast by Met Office.

Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner made the announcement about all public and private schools and colleges in Hyderabad will remain closed on 29 August 2024 Friday due to monsoon rains.

Students will enjoy long weekend amid fear of expected heavy monsoon rains in the region. Local administration and provincial authorities are taking all precautionary measures to safeguard students and staff during this weather event.

School Holiday Tomorrow

Amid extreme weather conditions, Hyderabad has been experiencing sporadic heavy rainfall, resulting in waterlogging in several regions, while electricity outages have affected several regions.

Met Office said this rain bout will continue until August 31, and citizens are cautioned to avoid unnecessary travel during this month.

Disaster management officials also issued warnings of potential flash floods in parts of Sindh, and other regions.
