ISLAMABAD – Lieutenant General (retired) Moazzam Ejaz has been picked as the Chairperson of the National Technology Council (NTC) for a four-year term, starting from July 29, 2024.
The appointment was made by the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), who oversees the Council.
Notably, Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz accepted the role without a basic salary or additional benefits, except for an honorarium and allowances as specified.

Lt. General retd. Moazzam Ejaz hailed from Army Corps of Engineers, who also served as Engineer-in-Chief. He is also a member of the governing body of the Pakistan Engineering Council.
In his glittering career, he held several prestigious and senior positions, including Quarter Master General, General Officer Commanding, and DG Housing Directorate at Army Headquarters.
Ejaz’s contributions to various Frontier Works Organization (FWO) projects made him notable person in forces. He also served as the Rector of the National University of Technology (NUTECH).
