Hazro men fall victim to honey trap bandits

Two friends from Tajjak village of Hazro were abducted after falling into a honey trap laid out by a Sadiqabad gang in Kachha area. Despite the grand operation in the Kacha area initiated by the police to establish peace in the region, the robbers of the Kacha area continue to abduct people by snaring them into honey traps. The recent abduction of the two men from Hazro resident has further intensified the concerns surrounding these criminal activities.

The family of the victim maintained that the robbers were demanding a total of Rs 50 million in exchange for the safe release of the abducted individual otherwise the family have to face dire consequences.

Waseem Khan, the brother of one of the abducted persons, told the Hazro on Tuesday that his brother Hasan Khan and his friend Zahid Khan, hailing from Tajik village in Hazro tehsil, Attock district, have fallen prey to the criminal elements through a honey trap. He reported to Police that both persons traveled to Sadiqabad three days ago in pursuit of purchasing a Suzuki van after coming across an advertisement on social media. However, the abductors kidnapped both men after they fall honey trap , he added.

He informed Police that his family received a call today from the kidnappers, using Hasan Khan’s phone. He said that the abductors are now demanding a staggering ransom of Rs 50 million for the release of the hostages, leaving the family in a desperate plea for help.
