Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti met with Secretary Welfare Fund Ministry of Overseas Pakistani Zulfikar Khan and informing him about the ongoing social security program in Balochistan.
He said that 19 thousand workers of the province are under social security program are registered in which 90 percent of the registration is of laborers working in mines. he said that the children of these workers are being provided educational support under the Government of Pakistan Workers Welfare Fund.
Emphasis was placed on the promotion of skill-based education in various fields along with traditional degree programs in institutions. Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that not every youth can be employed in the government sectors in the available resources of Balochistan, there is a demand for technical people in various fields all over the world, so it is important that we also provide decent employment opportunities to our youth by making them skilled.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that such programs of technical training and skills in inter-tech and matric-tech should be introduced in the institutions established under the Workers’ Welfare Fund, which are in demand in the global and national market, such institutions should be under public-private partnership can also be established for which the provincial government will provide all possible support.
