Govt to eradicate polio from country

Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Muhammad Asif Raza has said that government is committed to eradicate polio from the country and Ulema, social workers, teachers, parents and civil society can play vital role to make five-day Anti-Polio campaign successful and result-oriented.

He expressed theses views while addressing the meeting of District Anti-Polio Committee Hafizabad held at District Complex, on Thursday.

The arrangements made by the health department for launching five-day anti-polio campaign from 23 May to 27 May were reviewed in the meeting.

He urged the need of collective efforts for achieving goal of polio free Pakistan and directed the employees of Health Department to perform their duties with the passion of serving the nation.

He also appealed the ulema, teacher, parents, social workers and civil society to extend their cooperation with anti-polio teams of health department to administer drops of polio vaccine to the children.
